The Ottawa Senators have suspended Randy Lee http://www.billsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-taron-johnson-jersey , the assistant general manager facing a harassment charge from an incident during the NHL’s pre-draft scouting combine.
Lee is charged with second-degree harassment after allegedly making lewd comments and rubbing the shoulders of a 19-year-old male hotel shuttle driver in Buffalo, New York, on May 30. He has pled not guilty and is due in court on July 6.
General manager Pierre Dorion announced the suspension in a statement Friday. Dorion said the suspension is effective immediately and applies to work with the Senators as well as the club’s American Hockey League affiliate in Belleville, Ontario.
The move comes a week before the NHL draft in Dallas.
”As our hockey club’s initial statement made clear, our hockey team – and our organization as a whole – will always hold our leaders, coaching staff, players and employees to the highest standards of behavior,” Dorion said in the statement. ”Harassment in any form is unacceptable, whether it occurs inside or outside the work place.”
Lee’s attorney, Paul Cambria Authentic Bradley Chubb Jersey , said he had no comment in a text to The Associated Press.
Dorion said the Senators are unaware of any previous complaints against Lee, and that Lee is entitled to due process and the right to address the allegation in court.
”That said, the questions that must be answered by Randy are unlikely to be addressed until his next court date … we believe the best way to live our values and enforce our standards of behavior is to suspend Randy Lee until the allegations against him are ruled upon by the courts,” Dorion said.
Lee is responsible for prospect development with Ottawa and oversees the Belleville teams. Ottawa has the fourth- and 22nd-overall pick at the upcoming draft.
The Senators missed the playoffs after reaching the Eastern Conference final in 2016-17, and have been even more of a mess recently with a litany of public relations headaches.
Earlier this week, it emerged that the wife of Senators captain Erik Karlsson filed an order of protection in May against the fiancee of one of his teammates, alleging harassment and cyberbullying.
Melinda Karlsson alleged that Monika Caryk, the longtime partner of Senators forward Mike Hoffman, posted hundreds of derogatory online messages aimed at her and her husband, including trolling messages following the death of their infant son. Caryk has denied the allegations.

JAMEIS WINSTON, BUCCANEERS
Yes, Marcus Mariota must prove he can play all 16 games in a season, but the Tennessee Titans already have picked up Mariota’s fifth-year option for 2019. Same for Tampa Bay for Jameis Winston, the quarterback taken a spot ahead of Mariota in 2015. Both are due $20.9 million in 2019 at what could be a bargain the way the market is booming for quarterbacks.

The 49ers also re-signed receiver Marquise Goodwin to keep a top target around.
As good as Garoppolo looked, there’s now plenty of game tape of him running coach Kyle Shanahan’s offense. Defensive coordinators, especially those in the NFC West, have had all offseason to figure out how to slow down Garoppolo.
TYROD TAYLOR, BROWNS
Helping the Bills stop a seemingly endless playoff drought wasn’t enough to keep Taylor on the job in Buffalo. The Cleveland Browns traded for Taylor on the eve of free agency, and that’s normally a sure sign a team is heavily invested in a player. Then the Browns went quarterback with the No. 1 overall pick in the draft Youth Quenton Nelson Jersey , selecting Baker Mayfield. Keeping Mayfield on the bench depends mostly on how long Taylor plays well.
JOE FLACCO, RAVENS
The 10-year veteran has missed a mere six games since being drafted by Baltimore in 2008, all in 2015, and led the Ravens to a Super Bowl in 2012. But the Ravens last reached the playoffs in 2014, and general manager Ozzie Newsome made sure to give himself options in his final year in charge. Not Robert Griffin III, who last started a game in 2016 with Cleveland.
Newsome traded to get the final pick of the first round in April to select Lamar Jackson . Yes, the Ravens insist they want to develop Jackson and be patient. If Flacco struggles, Jackson, who threw 57 touchdown passes over the past two seasons in college at Louisville and won a Heisman Trophy, could start looking really good much sooner.
