TAG Heuer Sponsors the 2025 F1 Monaco Grand Prix
As the Official Timekeeper and Main swiss replica watches Sponsor of F1, TAG Heuer will be bringing some special and unique pieces to the prestigious Monte Carlo race. The details were announced today, so let’s take a look.
From today to Sunday, the Formula 1 TAG Heuer Monaco Grand Prix marks the real “climax” of the 2025 F1 season (the first time the famous race has an official title sponsor, by the way).
The season officially kicked off in March with the Formula 1 Louis Vuitton Australian Grand Prix (another title-sponsored race). The most recent race – the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix in Italy – was completed earlier this month. The season will finally kick off with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix (December 5-7).
However, this weekend, all eyes turn to Monte Carlo for the “big event” as the 2025 Monaco Grand Prix attracts a lot of well-deserved attention.
Current F1 State
Before we get into the action, let’s take a quick look at the current F1 standings: Heading into Monaco, Austrian driver Oscar Piastri of McLaren is in the lead, with his teammate Lando Norris in second.luxury replica watches
Meanwhile, Oracle Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen is third, Mercedes-AMG Petronas’ George Russell is fourth, and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc completes the current top five (Ferrari’s star driver Lewis Hamilton is currently ranked slightly below his teammate Charles Leclerc, by the way).
Of course, the two top teams at the moment – McLaren Formula One – dominate the constructors’ standings, followed by Mercedes-AMG Petronas. Red Bull Racing is third, Ferrari fourth. Atlas Williams is fifth.
However, there is still a long way to go until the end of the season.
Monaco means Monaco
Given TAG Heuer’s comprehensive partnership with F1, title sponsorship of the Monaco race and the prominence of the event itself, the watchmaker will be bringing a whole host of race-related goodies to Monte Carlo for fans, with the focus appropriately on the legendary square-cased Monaco models.
First up, the TAG Heuer Monaco Split Seconds Chronograph, a special edition that marries avant-garde materials with track functionality, is the “halo car” of the special editions.
The case of this split-second chronograph is made of the brand’s in-house developed TH titanium alloy, which has undergone a proprietary heat treatment process to present a grained pattern that makes the titanium look like carbon. Furthermore, the Monaco’s square dial design takes the model’s visual DNA to a whole new level of drama.
Since its debut in 1969 as the first waterproof square automatic chronograph, the Monaco has been at the forefront of chronograph innovation. Drawing on decades of chronograph expertise, TAG Heuer reintroduced the split-seconds function into the Monaco last year for the first time. https://www.grand-watch.co
However, the TH81-00 movement that drives this new masterpiece and its split-seconds function is now made of titanium and weighs just 30 grams. At the same time, its square-shaped domed sapphire crystal is almost integrated into the 41 mm pixelated titanium case, adding a touch of visual transparency to the already light metal (the watch weighs just 86 grams in total).
This new Monaco split-seconds chronograph features a black skeleton dial, with bold neon yellow and white for the scales and hands, and a square/polygonal sub-dial that amplifies the information of the race chronograph. There is a minute counter at 3 o'clock, an hour counter at 9 o'clock, and a small second hand at 6 o'clock.
Through the transparent caseback, the same neon yellow-green on the dial adorns the watch's rotor when the movement is running. The stitching of the smooth black calfskin strap also reflects this green, and its texture creates a dramatic effect that highlights the sense of technology while remaining classic.
Heart of inheritance
In sharp contrast to the technological and avant-garde style of the Monaco split-seconds chronograph mentioned above, the new TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph x Gulf Oil Special Edition brings some surprises to retro enthusiasts. After all, most veteran racing fans will have their hearts racing when they see Gulf Oil's iconic blue and orange color scheme (I know my watch does the same).

This limited edition watch, created in partnership with Gulf Oil (there’s a small Gulf Oil logo just below the center of the dial), features a striking racing stripe in “blue and orange” on the right side of a clean white dial, with a black subdial at 3 o’clock only.
The dial design recalls the fire suit Steve McQueen wore while driving the Gulf Oil-sponsored Porsche 917K in the 1971 film Le Mans. If you haven’t seen the movie, be warned, it’s probably the easiest gateway drug to get addicted to racing in history.
This modern Monaco features a durable 39mm sandblasted titanium case with fixed small seconds and minute counters at 3 and 9 o’clock, respectively, and the Monaco’s original date window at 6 o’clock. It’s worth mentioning that TAG Heuer has relocated the crown to a prominent position on the original Monaco: on the left side of the case.
The new Monaco x Gulf Chronograph is presented on a striking white fabric strap with orange stitching, and comes with a blue perforated calfskin strap for an added finishing touch. Powering this watch is the powerful automatic Calibre 11 movement, which is clearly visible on the caseback. For CHF 9,300, you can be in the driver's seat of this high quality replica watches.
STOP IT ALL
To truly capture the uniqueness of racing timekeeping, TAG Heuer has created a special Monaco Chronograph that is directly inspired by the precise handheld racing timers produced in the 1960s and 1970s.
Make no mistake: this is a sleek, modern 39mm watch. Even so, almost all of its features, colors and details are identical to the iconic mid-century track timers.
Powered by the Calibre 11 movement, this chronograph mimics the crown position (9 o’clock) and date window (6 o’clock) of the original Monaco, is made of black DLC-coated titanium, comes with a classic perforated calfskin strap, and is water-resistant to 100 meters.
The black and silver opaline dial is a nod to the iconic stopwatch, as are the two square totalizers at 3 and 6 o’clock (although on the stopwatch, they are at 12 and 6 o’clock, respectively). Meanwhile, the bright red, numberless ring dial is the most prominent ode to the traditional stopwatch mechanism, where the seconds count more than anything else.
