Is Terrell Owens seriously considering joining the Packers?
According to his Twitter account, anything is possible as he wants to make a comeback. But the reason the Packers are mentioned for Owens comeback was what NFL Alumni posted on Twitter this week. NFL Alumni put a video together which shows Rodgers throwing a pass to Owens. When the newly inducted Hall of Famer receiver saw this, he simply replied, still can happen. Here s a look at the video posted by NFL alumni.Owens was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the third round back in 1996. He also spent time with the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals. In his career, Owens recorded 1,078 receptions, 15,934 yards and 153 touchdowns. His career receiving yards are the second most in NFL history and his receiving touchdown total is third most in NFL history. So Owens numbers should have made him a first ballot Hall of Famer. The problem is he was elected in his third year of eligibility which caused Owens to not attend the Hall of Fame ceremony in August.

The issue isn’t whether he was a gifted player. It’s whether he belongs in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The bare facts are that Owens was a five time first team All Pro and ranks No. 2 on the NFL’s all time list for receiving yards and No. 3 for touchdown catches. Impressive indeed.However, it’s also true that three teams got rid of him in his prime years even though he was putting up those numbers.
Dougherty went on to say that his relationships with the 49ers, Eagles and Cowboys went sour and he was known to cause problems in locker rooms as well as have bad relationships with quarterbacks. But Dougherty also mentioned that Owens won more than half of the 231 games he played in and he reached the playoffs eight times.
Former Packers linebacker and Hall of Famer member Dave Robinson wants Owens to be part of the festivities that take place on Aug. 4.

“If he’s thinking of this as another trophy on the wall, he’s wrong,” Robinson said to Steve Doerschuk of Cantonrep.com. “I hope he comes to his senses and realizes he’s making a big mistake. And if he does, I’ll welcome him with open arms.”
At 44 years, old, the Packers likely don t have much interest in Owens. However, it would be the NFL story of the year if both Owens and the Packers were serious about making the signing happen. played with Aaron Rodgers for 10 seasons and he also played with Randall Cobb for seven seasons. So all three developed a strong bond on and off the field, which made Nelson s release from the Green Bay Packers earlier this year painful for the fans. But just because Nelson is no longer a teammate of Rodgers and Cobb, it doesn t mean the bond they created goes away. This past weekend, Cobb posted a photo on Instagram that shows all three guys at the Spyglass Hill Golf Course in California. Nelson was a member of the Packers since he was drafted by the team in 2008. This past weekend, Favre was in Madison Wisconsin for the American Family Insurance Championship which is a PGA Tour Champions event and Favre decided to throw a football to the fans.
